Floor TreatmentGround plan by scenic designer/TD Dan Lisowski, rendering by scenic charge artist Juliana Gessner. This production's "Illyria" references Madison, WI where University Theatre is located. The concept was that it was a paved outdoor area that could be lit to differentiate settings throughout the show. The grey path in the middle was the "Isthmus", alluding to the actual isthmus that Madison resides in, as large grey flagstones with dusty red brick sections on either side. SR featured a herringbone pattern while SL was a cobble fan pattern. Final design was tweaked from the image shown to the right so the "I" symbol was closer to center and the circles were flattened slightly to allow for more space.

Badger StatueA non-copyrighted badger statue affectionately named "Bonky" with its backside facing the audience so he could gaze across the lake. Carved by Master Carpenter Angela Hause out of pink insulation foam.
